Replacement of Capitol Hill's Basin #2
with a Reservoir for Recycled Water

(Updated February 27, 2008)

Capitol Hill Post-Project Information Session

Thank you for your cooperation and patience throughout the project. The new tank increases the capacity of the recycled water system, which will soon deliver irrigation water to parks and open space in the Stapleton and Lowry neighborhoods. This expansion is a benefit to all Denver Water customers as it allows us to fully utilize water brought from the West Slope.  Future expansion plans for the recycled water system include service to Congress and Cheesman Parks.

The sidewalk and paving in the alley behind Detroit Street was done by Denver’s Public Works Department.  That project was coordinated through Councilwoman Robb’s office.  If you have questions about work in the alley, contact Nora Kimball in Councilwoman Robb’s office, 303-377-1807.
