Review Fees for Main Extensions, Hydrants, Fire Lines and 3" and Larger Tap Installations:
Review Fees for Main Extensions (footage includes fire hydrant laterals):
- $450 for plans with 300 linear feet or less of pipe
- $900 for plans with 301 linear feet to 2,500 linear feet of pipe
- $1,500 for plans with 2,501 linear feet or more of pipe
Review Fees for Plans that have any combination of 1 to 2 Fire Hydrants, Fire Lines, and/or 3" and Larger Taps:
- $450 for the review of one or two fire hydrants, fire lines or 3-inch and larger domestic connections. If the plans exceed more than 2 connections, refer to the plan review fees for main extensions.
Review fees will be collected at the time of plan submittal.
Inspection Fees for Main Extensions, Hydrants, Fire Lines and 3" and Larger Tap Installations:
- $900 minimum inspection fee for plans with 300 linear feet or less of pipe
- $3 per linear foot for plans with 301 or more feet of pipe
- $540 for one or two fire hydrants, fire lines or 3-inch and larger domestic connections. If the plans exceed more than 2 connections, the $900 minimum inspection fee applies.
Inspection fees will be collected prior to approval of water plans.
Note: A $70 per hour overtime rate will apply for after-hours, weekend and holiday inspections. Denver Water observes the following holidays:
- New Year’s Day
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day
- Presidents’ Day
- Cesar Chavez Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Veterans Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
When work is scheduled for after-hours, other than continuation of regular work days, a minimum of two hours will be charged with subsequent one hour increments. Four hours minimum will be charged for weekend and holiday inspections. Regular work day hours will be established at pre-construction meeting.
Reproduction Fees for Approved Sets of Water Plans:
- $1.25 per sheet for reproducing approved sets of water plans. At least one approved plan set purchase is required. You may also purchase additional sets for developer, engineer, contractor and/or Water District. Denver Water pays for all of their own reproductions.
Reproduction fees will be collected prior to approval of water plans.
Review Fees for Irrigation Plans:
- $450 irrigation review
Review fee must be paid at the time of irrigation plan submittal.
Other Plan Fees:
- The review and inspection fees for pump stations, reservoirs and conduits will be determined by the Engineering Division on an individual basis.
- All conduit connections (24-inch or larger) to be performed by Denver Water at the Developer/Owners expense. Denver Water provides a cost estimate as part of the plan review process. An executed Actual Cost Letter Agreement and payment are required prior to plan approval.
