Denver Water, one of the largest water utilities west of the Mississippi, is currently looking for a full-time Occupational Health Nurse I. Denver Water has an onsite health clinic that is responsible for triage, treatment and case management for on-the-job injuries, employee physicals, including CDL physicals, and Denver Water’s drug testing program. Some of the duties this position is required to perform include:
- Responsible for triage and care of injured/ill employees.
- Provides health counseling and education appropriate to individual needs and accomplishes health screening procedures.
- Performs employee physical examinations, pre-placement screenings and annual health exams. Maintains safety monitoring, CDL programs, flu vaccines and mask fit programs.
- Performs drug and alcohol screening.
- Performs workers’ compensation reporting, record keeping, and case management.
The minimum qualifications for this position are completion of an approved registered nursing program typically accomplished with an associate’s degree if prior to 2000 and a bachelor’s degree if after 2000. One year occupational health nursing experience is also required. Must hold and maintain a current license to practice as a registered nurse in the state of Colorado.
Starting rate-of-pay for this position is $21.06 to $26.88 hourly depending of qualifications. All employment offers are contingent on the successful completion of a post-offer physical, which includes drug and alcohol testing.
