Job Duties
- Under supervision, performs water conservation program activities, including outbound calls to customers by telephone to promote conservation programs.
- Works with customers on soil amendment appointments, routine research and analysis of water use.
- Fields incoming calls on general conservation, program data tracking, research and verification of savings for existing conservation customers and creates and maintains reports.
- Sets soil amendment appointments using Oracle’s Customer Care and Billing system and soil amendment database, tracks related activities.
- Works with multiple departments and schedules Denver Water staff for various audits, indoor and outdoor, commercial, residential and high-bill.
- Uses knowledge of Denver neighborhoods and suburbs beneficial to efficient scheduling.
- Answers in-bound conservation hotline, customer calls and emails and tracks and reports on topics.
- Provides backup coverage to rebate hotline and water enforcement hotline.
- Researches customer consumption, program participation, rebates and contracts, etc. using Oracle's Customer Care and Billing system and other in-house reporting tools.
- Finds initial contact information, compiles account information for customers and makes calls to promote conservation programs.
- May enter data collected from audit, rebates or contracts into a conservation tracking database and forward customer responses to conservation specialists for further action.
- Assists other conservation field staff and specialists with audits or other field work as required.
- This position may also involve special research or pilot projects.
- May compile data and develop reports to track project or pilot.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Requires graduation from high school, or equivalent supplemented by clerical, data entry, GIS or business related course work.
- Three years’ experience involving the public or customer contact to include meter reading, water operations, conservation, or a related field.
- May be required to demonstrate proficiency in standard PC applications and type at 40 WPM net.
