  • June 25, 2015 Waterton Canyon trail reopens for recreation Friday

    Waterton Canyon will reopen Friday, June 26, for trail access now that high flows in the river have receded and the flood-damaged areas of the trail have been repaired. River access, however, will remain closed in accordance with the Jefferson and Douglas County Sheriff’s Offices’ restricted use of the South Platte River.

  • June 22, 2015 Dillon Dam Road temporary closure

    Dillon Dam Road/County Road 7 will be closed Wednesday, June 24, and Thursday, June 25, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. for routine facility maintenance.

  • June 11, 2015 Waterton Canyon closure

    In the interest of public safety, Waterton Canyon will be closed to public access until high flows in the South Platte River in the canyon subside. The combination of ongoing rain and runoff have contributed to increased river flows.

  • June 07, 2015 Dillon Dam Road temporary closure

    Dillon Dam Road/County Road 7 will be closed Monday, June 8, from 9 a.m. to noon, for barrier maintenance.

  • May 28, 2015 Waterton Canyon will be open through the weekend

    South Platte River water flows have subsided in Waterton Canyon and the trail has been determined safe for recreationists. The trail will reopen Friday, May 29, until Monday, June 1, when a four-day closure will occur for Denver Water’s annual dust mitigation project.

  • May 21, 2015 Waterton Canyon closure extended

    In the interest of public safety, Waterton Canyon will remain closed to public access until high flows in the South Platte River in the canyon subside.

  • May 12, 2015 Waterton Canyon trail reopens through the weekend

    The trail in Waterton Canyon has been determined safe for recreationists and will reopen Wednesday, May 13, until Monday, May 18, when a four-day closure will occur for Denver Water’s annual dust mitigation project.

    Denver Water’s annual pipe rehabilitation project — the cleaning and lining of aging water mains — starts today in the Park Hill neighborhood.

  • March 24, 2015 Antero Reservoir to close June 1 for dam repairs

    In June, Denver Water will begin emptying Antero Reservoir to clear the way for significant repairs to the 100-year-old dam. The park will close to the public on June 1, 2015, to allow for the next phase in a major rehabilitation project to take place.
